Have a Carefree Vacation
on Siesta Key.

When
you are vacationing at the Tropical Sun Beach Resort on Siesta Key,
it is with pleasure that we try to ensure your stay is comfortable,
carefree and safe. Our friendly staff is always available to help
direct you to various points of interest and answer questions about
things to do on the key. It’s very easy to just spend your
time enjoying all the key offers, especially if you’re into
water sports. First, there’s walking the beach, a popular
pastime from sunrise to sunset. Imagine stepping onto the cleanest,
whitest, most powdery sand you have ever encountered—and it’s
always cool to the touch, too.
If you can
drag yourself away from being mesmerized by the waters and the feel
of the sand, you can choose from an endless variety of boat rentals,
including kayaks, wave runners and motorboats. Always obey the No
Wake Zone and you might even get lucky and look down to see a manatee
staring up at you, wondering what you are doing in his space.
Bikers can
find many shops to rent their favorites, and the newly-built bike
path lets you bike from the south end on Midnight Pass Rd. up to
the North Bridge. It’s very safe, plus it will give you an
excellent workout and jumpstart your thoughts for dinner.
The types
of restaurants on Siesta Key are as varied as the visitors. Families
enjoy Captain Curt’s, the Daiquiri Deck, Napoli’s for
pizza and Turtle’s on the Bay. And don’t forget home
made ice cream at Olaf’s. You can even leave the car behind
and take the public bus. Its last stop is at Stickney Point, at
6:45 PM, only a five-minute walk back to the hotel.
For late-night
diners and partiers, many high-end restaurants, such as Bella Roma,
Javier’s, Ophelia’s and Mattison’s, take reservations
and feature outstanding gourmet food. After dinner, time for a martini
at Blue Martini, or a beer and some dancing at the Beach Club, or
an excellent daiquiri and sports on TV at the Daiquiri Deck.
A marvelous
way to end your beautiful vacation on Siesta Key is to be at the
drum circle on Sundays, on Siesta Beach, enjoying the passionate
drumbeats of the regular group of drummers, along with dancers and
maybe even a singer or two. We express our appreciation and say
thank you and farewell to another wonderful day in paradise.
